We are currently planning our roadmap for Visual NHibernate, and we would like your help. Which of these areas cause you the most pain and frustration in NHibernate projects, and which would you like to see solved as soon as possible? We're not talking about the limitations etc. of the NHibernate framework itself, but rather the difficult tasks that you experience everyday when using it.

Some initial ideas:

  • Stored procedures
  • Reports
  • Validation
  • Auditing
  • Creating and maintaining queries (Linq, Criteria, HQL)

Any other areas that I've missed? Any features you'd like us to add to Visual NHibernate?

Thanks for your time,
Gareth Hayter.

Hi Gareth,
it would be great if you could provide connections to oracle databases.

Regards

Hi Ralph

Thanks for the suggestion. Oracle will definitely be one of the next databases we'll add support for.

Kind regards,
Gareth.

Hi there

Just trying out your app ... fantastic work!

One thing I was looking for (maybe I'm just missing it) is the ability to create interfaces as well as the classes. I didn't see a way of doing that.

Thanx,
Peter

Hi Peter. Thanks, glad you like it! Where do you think would be the best location for the interfaces? Same directory as the POCO class files?

Cheers,
Gareth.

Hi Gareth,

As discussed on twitter, can you please provide support for MySQL?

Jake

Hi Jake. We will definitely add it. I have a few ideas about how we can fast-track MySQL support and add it sooner. Please email me to discuss further: http://www.slyce.com/Contact/

Thanks,
Gareth.
